I'm Here/Writing/Poetry:

Hiiiiii Everybodyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!

I hope everyone's okay, it's approaching winter, so it can get pretty cold, so stay safe and don't catch a cold, guys! Did you know, colds are caused by over 200 viruses? Colds are highly contagious, and as most of us know colds can spread through airborne droplets from an infected person. This makes it sound gross, but basically you can give someone the common cold if you sneeze or cough around them while infected. You can also get a cold by touching a contaminated surface and then touching, as I like to called it MEN. Mouth, Eyes, Nose. Don't touch your mouth, eyes, or nose when you're hands aren't exactly clean. That's why, it's important to wash your hands, guys. In fact, if you're all interested, I can do a blog post where I delve into colds, bacteria around us, and prevention!

In other news, let's talk a bit about Faces of Silicon Valley! I love coming up with blog posts for all my readers every week--readers who I'm very grateful for! Just let your friends know all about our website, so we can keep expanding! The more support, the better! Right now, I'm running Faces of Silicon Valley on my own time by myself, so it's a lot to handle. I love the support I have now, and I'm so grateful, but bigger team would be extremely beneficial! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Enough news, now the story! :)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Context: There is a tiny mouse in the barn. He used to be a beloved pet to the farmer’s daughter, but she grew up and left. Soon, the mouse was forgotten about, yet each day, he came for a block of cheese, hoping someone would remember. But the busy farmers don’t realize that he’s here. If they knew, what would they do?

I’m Here:

I’m here, right here, where I hide and wait,

Tiny and still, what have I done to deserve this fate?

I’ve become forgotten as I roam the farm,

Once loved, now lost with no charm.

The farmers all pass me, but they never see,

A little mouse who longs to be.

Each day, I wait for someone to notice me out of the corner of their eye,

But none do, and I don’t like to pry.

The cook once screamed and dropped her spoon.

I ran away too quickly to be noticed, too soon.

Even though, I run, I hide, I flee

I still hope someone will see

Maybe I’ll leave, but I don’t want a life forgotten, sent into the night—

For though, I’m small, I have might.

I’m here, I’m here, a mouse I’ll be,

Until the end, when they still won’t see me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Soooo, how'd you guys like that?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
