Explore Opportunities with Faces of Silicon Valley!

Hi Again! Since the summer before sixth grade, I have become more involved with the Young Writers’ Project, a nonprofit organization based in Vermont that supports and uplifts teen writers and artists. On this platform, I share mostly poetry, works of fiction, and occasionally informative pieces on relevant topics. YWP is an artistic space that encourages creativity, exploration, and growth.

Through Young Writers’ Project, I’ve met and connected with many other teen writers, received thoughtful feedback on my work, and participated in weekly creative challenges. These opportunities have helped me grow as a writer and pushed me to experiment with new styles and ideas. Through YWP, I’ve also had my work published on other websites and gained access to additional writing opportunities.

Young Writers’ Project invites all young creators ages 13 to 19 to join their community. Founded in 2006, YWP is an independent nonprofit with a mission to inspire, mentor, publish, and promote young writers and artists. It’s been an incredible experience, and I’m grateful for the creative community it has given me.

Hi Everyone! Since, fifth grade I have become more invested in sharing my voice through writing on Medium. On this platform, I publish blog posts, poetry, and informative articles that explore personal experiences, social issues, and topics that matter to me. Writing allows me to reflect, educate, and connect with others in a meaningful way.

Through my blog posts, I share thoughts and stories that encourage reflection and conversation. My poetry gives me space to express emotion and creativity, while my informative articles focus on raising awareness and spreading knowledge on important subjects. Each piece is written with the intention of reaching others and making an impact, no matter how small.

Hi Everyone! Recently, I recently became invested in an organization called End the Walk For Water. This organization spans across America and works to raise awareness about women in third-world countries. I learned about them, through this annual walk on May 5th. Every year, people everywhere walk 3-5 miles carrying bottles of water in solidarity to support these women. These women spanning many generations are forced to walk long distances to get water for themselves and their families. They never get a break, and often the water is contaminated. In May of 2023, the Mukumbu Primary school closed, due to 500 of their students having bacterial infections from the water.
