About us
Faces of Silicon Valley is a project that I started. I was researching people in our modern society who help connect communities for an assignment. While I was researching I learned about Brandon Stanton, a photographer who started the project, "Humans of New York." Stanton travels around the world and photographs people from diverse communities and he shares their stories. I aim to do the same thing with Silicon Valley. I plan to build my website beyond a blog. Faces of Silicon Valley is a platform that's dedicated to showcasing the diverse and inspiring lives of individuals.. From entrepreneurs, teachers, families, and students, I aim to bring the journeys of those who are redefining what it means to be a part of Silicon Valley. Whether you're a curious outsider, or someone looking for inspiration, our stories offer a unique glimpse into the lives of the people who make Silicon Valley a vibrant and dynamic place.
My Goal:
Right now, Faces of Silicon Valley, is just a website, but it can be much more. I plan to create a monthly/biweekly newsletter in the format of newspaper that I can send out on a monthly/biweekly basis. Another goal I have is to erase the typical stereotype of Silicon Valley. Right now, people view Silicon Valley as the center of technology and innovation. While that is true, Silicon Valley is so much more than just technology, it's built of doctors, students, and teachers, who all contribute to make our community a better place. In enlightening others about the diversity in Silicon Valley, I hope that I can connect more people and communities through Faces of Silicon Valley and interview a larger public.
